Hi everyone, welcome to my blog, Forever Backlogged. It will be mainly focused around my gaming experiences through detailed reviews of what I liked, did not like, and what I felt unsure about them. As you can see, the site is a tad barebones at the moment, since it is my first time actually blogging. I will try my best to get more things up and running without overly cluttering it; suggestions and criticisms are always welcomed in any and every aspect of it, since I am striving to improve as much as I can. Before I list down the primary things you will see on this blog, allow me to give a brief introduction on myself.

My name is Joshua Torres, but I would rather be called Josh, since the -ua at the end is something I will never really get used to. I will not like you any less if you call me by the full version of it though, so rest assured on that. You can also call me by whatever other names I go by on other sites. Actually on that note, I might as well put down my gaming contact info. I am going under the assumption that no one plays with their Wii anymore, so I will not be listing that down and even though my nephew has a Xbox 360 I can always play with, I never actually do so thus, I do not have a Xbox Live ID to share as well.

Feel free to send me an e-mail about anything related to the blog and/or if you want me to add you as well on any of the above. You can also just post down on the comments section below with your info if you are fine disclosing it publicly for the whole world to see (one day, when/if people start visiting here).

Anyway, more on who I am. I am currently 21 years old (22 in less than 3 months) and have been playing video games for... quite a long time now. I want to say more than 17 years now, but I am sure that amount of time practically means nothing for my older readers. Like most gamers at my age, I started with the Nintendo and Super Nintendo, but expanded my horizons to the Sega Genesis and Saturn for a little bit. Then I moved onto the Nintendo 64, Playstation, Dreamcast, Game Boy, and so forth. Before this drags out to what I have actually played on, I will keep it simple and sweet. The only console I never really owned was the original Xbox, but I did play a handful of games on it since some past friends were kind enough to let me play games on it with or without them. I guess the N-Gage falls under this category too... except I never played it.

So what games will inevitably get the shaft when it comes to reviewing because I do not have the system for them? Probably Xbox 360 exclusives since once again, I do not really "own" it, and I will be honest about the upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive games for this year do not really excite me. Maybe Halo 4 might be worth checking out, but I highly doubt I will get it. As for multiplatform games, I will be reviewing the PC version of them. As for everything else, it is fair game from the PS3, Vita, Wii, 3DS, DS, GBA, PS2, etc. etc.

As a final note before the blog's main points, do not expect my reviews to come out in a super rushed fashion on release day. I buy them like you on release day and play them on & off depending how fun and compelling I find them to be. Believe me when I say that I will only review the game once they have been fully finished.

What "fully finished" means?
+ Completed the game at least once (unless subsequent different endings occur that add to the plot, like NieR)
+ Collected all items that add onto the game's plot (IE: rescuing every survivor in Lollipop Chainsaw for the true end, etc.)

What "fully finished" does not mean?
+ Collected all the collectibles/feathers/minigames/gems/orbs/etc. in the game to unlock some fancy new costume or concept art or any other
+ DLC that is tacked on to serve as the game's ending (IE: Prince of Persia), so I'll be judging the core game content that comes out of the initial release

Basically, whatever it takes to get the most out of the plot will be the route I will be taking before reviewing it.

I know this has been a pretty long-winded intro, so I will close it out with some of my initial goals with this blog; it is not, by any means, finalized concretely because there maybe requests for some ventures that I may be interested to delve into.

- Video Game Reviews
- Maybe Let's Plays or just gaming highlights in general; it depends how much time I have to create a YouTube and upload videos on it, but I'm no stranger to it
- Miscellaneous Thoughts on games already released and upcoming releases
- Maybe extend thoughts to my Anime Backlog, and Movie Backlog, depending on time
- ... maybe Music too?

For my next update, I will post up my first review; I'm deciding if it should be on Dragon's Dogma or Gravity Rush.

- Josh
